Mayo boasts Irelands Tidiest and most beautiful town- Westport. Whether it's a family fun filled adventure where you can surf, bungee jump, take a boat trip around the 365 Islands of clew bay. Or if you want something with a little less adrenalin required, there are many blue flag beaches and health spas. If history, culture and folklore is your thing Mayo offers many museums and visitor attractions not to mention Croagh Patrick (Ireland's holiest mountain). Most of the towns of mayo have their own story and the locals are never shy to tell you of theirs. Take a trip to Cong to see where the famous film The Quiet Man was filmed or out to Leenane to see The Field. While in Leenane you can see Irelands only Fjord- Killary Fjord. There are daily boat trips allowing you to see the whole beauty of the Fjord. The drive from Westport to Leenane is one of the top ten drives in the world and should not be missed.

Connemara - a region of superb scenic grandeur dominated by the rocky mountain range known as the Twelve Bens. A great many of the inhabitants are Irish speakers, and much of the ancient Gaelic culture is preserved. The coastline is dotted with islands with the Aran Islands being the main attraction. Other inhabited islands include Inishbofin and Inishturk.
